Are you passionate about agriculture and excited to build a career helping farmers and agribusinesses succeed? Abby Bank is looking for an Agricultural Loan Officer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong agricultural background who wants to learn the lending side of the business. If you understand farming, enjoy building relationships, and want to make a difference in your local agricultural community, we'll teach you the banking and lending skills needed to succeed.

What You’ll Do:

• Be a Trusted Advisor:Develop lasting relationships with farmers, producers, and agribusiness owners by learning about their operations and understanding their financial goals.
• Learn Agricultural Lending: Work alongside experienced lenders who will mentor you in loan origination, credit analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management.
• Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with our Credit Administration team to ensure loans are structured in a way that benefits both the customer and the bank, while maintaining compliance with regulations.
• Make a Difference: Conduct on-site visits to understand your customers’ operations, verify collateral, and ensure the success of existing credits.
• Achieve Success: Meet sales and production goals while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Grow Your Career:Participate in training and professional development while gaining the knowledge and experience needed to become a trusted agricultural lender.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
• Agricultural experience is required. This may include farming, dairy, livestock, crop production, agronomy, ag sales, equipment, or other agribusiness experience.
• No prior banking or lending experience is required—we'll provide comprehensive training and mentorship.
• Strong analytical and attention to detail skills, with ability to evaluate financial information.
• Strong interest in sales with ability to identify opportunities and connect customers with financial solutions.
• Excellent communication and enjoys building relationships and pursuing business opportunities.
• A passion for supporting local communities and helping agricultural businesses succeed.
