Position Summary:

Wausau Tile is seeking an experienced, strategic, and business-minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide executive leadership for the company’s financial strategy, performance, and overall business operations. The CFO will serve as a key strategic partner to the President and executive leadership team, providing financial insight and guidance to support profitable growth, operational excellence, risk management, and long-term business objectives.

The CFO is responsible for the overall financial health and direction of the company, including financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, cash and capital management, banking and insurance relationships, risk management, compliance, and internal controls. The CFO will translate financial and operational data into actionable business insights and help leadership make informed decisions that drive sustainable growth and  addition to financial leadership, the CFO will provide executive oversight for Human Resources, Order Entry, and Site Furnishing functions, ensuring these areas are aligned with the company’s financial, operational, and strategic objectives.

The CFO will work closely with the President, executive leadership, sales, operations, production, and other departments to strengthen cross-functional performance and accountability.

The ideal candidate is a strategic financial leader with strong manufacturing experience who can balance long-term vision with hands-on financial management. This individual must possess strong analytical, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills and have the ability to identify opportunities, manage risk, improve processes, and drive financial performance throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Financial Leadership & Strategy:

Serve as the company’s senior financial leader and strategic business partner to the President and executive leadership team.

Develop and execute the company’s overall financial strategy in alignment with business objectives and long-term growth plans.

Provide financial guidance, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

Establish and monitor financial goals, key performance indicators, and business performance metrics.

Identify financial trends, risks, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement and communicate recommendations to executive leadership.

Evaluate strategic business opportunities, investments, capital expenditures, and other initiatives from a financial perspective.

Support initiatives designed to improve profitability, efficiency, cash flow, and overall company performance.

Promote financial accountability and sound business decision-making throughout the organization.

Accounting & Financial Reporting:

Provide executive oversight of all accounting and finance functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash management, cost accounting, and financial reporting.

Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.

Oversee preparation and review of monthly financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis.

Analyze financial results, variances, trends, and key performance indicators and communicate meaningful business insights to leadership.

Establish, maintain, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of the company’s financial information.

Oversee annual audits and coordinate with external accounting, tax, and financial professionals as needed.
