Position: Supervisory Police Officer with Security Clearance
Location: Green Lake

Duties
* As Chief, Police/Provost Marshal Division, is technically and administratively responsible for the law enforcement operations at a medium garrison within the Installation Management Command (IMCOM).
* Serve as advisor to the Director, Emergency Services (DES) and Garrison Commander (GC) on all law enforcement issues and related programs.
* Develop law enforcement programs and operating plans for the installation and is responsible for planning, supervising, and managing the operations of the division.
* Advise top-level installation managers on police department issues impacting them and develops acceptable solutions to problems.
* Make periodic on-site inspections of police patrols and activities.
* Identify problem areas and makes necessary changes in policies and procedures to correct deficiencies and to meet short and long range objectives.
* Direct and supervise the law enforcement staff directly or indirectly through subordinate supervisors performing the various police functions. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
* This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
* This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) you must report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
* This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program. Must sign DA Form 5019 acknowledging both pre-appointment and periodic random drug testing requirements.
* The 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 covers this position. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for this position.
* This position requires the incumbent must possess a valid state driver's license and be able to obtain and maintain a government motor vehicle operator's license.
* This position requires the incumbent is subject to possible civil action due to improper exercises of authority or injudicious use of force in the apprehension or detention of individuals.
* This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis.
* This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position
* This position has a requirement to lift up to 25 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
* This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
* This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
* This position requires you to successfully graduate from the Department of Army Police Academy.
* This position requires the incumbent to wear a prescribed uniform.
* Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
* This position requires the incumbent to possess, or be able to obtain and maintain Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and Advance First Aid.
* This position may require you to complete a physical agility test. Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes directing elements of law enforcement operations; supervising and critiquing the training of law enforcement personnel; and determining law enforcement resources based on operational need.
