Frederick County, Fire & Rescue are seeking a dedicated Paramedic(Part-Time) to join our team of emergency service professionals. As a vital member of our department, you'll provide life-saving care and support to the citizens of Frederick County during their most critical moments.

As a Paramedic, you will:

• Respond to emergency medical calls to deliver life-saving care
• Provide Advanced and Basic Life Support services under high-stress conditions
• Drive and operate emergency medical response vehicles
• Clean, inspect, and maintain assigned apparatus, equipment, and fire stations
• Complete accurate reports and documentation per department SOPs
• Participate in required training and skill refreshers
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, teammates, and the public
• Maintain readiness and professionalism throughout each shift

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have held it for at least 2 years
• Willingness to work a varied schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
• Certifications - All part-time providers must possess the following:
  • NIMS ICS-100, ICS-200, IS-700, IS-800
  • Healthcare Provider CPR
  • Virginia Department of Fire Program EVOC Class I and II
  • AHA ACLS and PALS
