Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan is proud to open the LSS Neillsville Center, a brandnew Substance Use Disorder treatment facility, and we are seeking a licensed Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our growing team.
Our Neillsville Center is a comprehensive, trauma informed treatment facility offering DHS 75 and DHS 83 licensed services, including genderspecific programming for men, designed to foster sustainable recovery, dignity, and hope.
Schedule & PaySchedule: Monday-Friday | 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Compensation:
- SACIT: $22.75/hour
- SAC: $26.00/hour
- CSAC: $28.00/hour
This is a fulltime, benefits eligible position.
What You'll DoUnder the direction of program and clinical leadership, you will:
- Provide substance use counseling and/or case management services in residential and outpatient settings
- Complete assessments, screenings, diagnostics, and referrals (ASAM, SUDDS, DSM/ICD
10 as applicable) - Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions
- Deliver case management and coordinate community, social, and mental health services
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with DHS, federal, and agency standards
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
- Serve as a positive role model for clients and families
- Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and ongoing training
Required:
- Associate's degree in a human services or correctional field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Valid SACIT, SAC, or CSAC (or qualifying experience/education for case management)
- Knowledge of addictions, recovery principles, and AODA regulations
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred:
- 1+ year experience working with a correctional population
- Experience providing substance use counseling in residential or outpatient settings
