Description

Western Wisconsin Health is seeking a full-time Ambulatory Services Manager. The Ambulatory Services Manager is responsible for providing leadership and day-to-day management of ambulatory clinical services, including ambulatory nursing, wound care, infusion therapy, respiratory therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, and outpatient dialysis. The Ambulatory Services manager ensures safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while optimizing clinical operations, compliance, staffing, and financial stewardship. The manager partners with providers, nurses, and clinical staff to advance service line growth and innovation in alignment with organizational mission and values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages staff and daily operations for ambulatory clinical services.
  • Coordinates staffing schedules to support patient flow and efficient resource utilization within budget.
  • Completes biweekly timesheet approvals for payroll ensuring compliance with timekeeping standards.
  • Develops, updates, and implements policies and procedures in line with evidence-based practice and regulatory requirements (CMS, DHS, Joint Commission as applicable).
  • Organizes staff meetings and maintains effective communication channels across service lines.
  • Evaluates training needs; supports continuing education and clinical competency.
  • Ensures equipment and technology for dialysis, infusion, respiratory therapy, and cardiac rehab are operational and meet regulatory/safety standards.
  • Develops annual budget recommendations; monitors financial performance monthly.
  • Responds to patient and family concerns with compassion and timely resolution.
  • Applies quality improvement methodology to drive patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coaches, mentors, and evaluates clinical staff performance; develops and implements corrective action plans under the Just Culture Model.
  • Participates in strategic planning and service expansion, with focus on dialysis and advanced outpatient therapies.
  • Demonstrates awareness, understanding, and respect for cultural diversity across patients and staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications
  • WI RN License
  • 3+ years of ambulatory, acute, or specialty clinical experience.
  • Associate's or technical degree in nursing, allied health, or healthcare-related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare-related field.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in ambulatory or specialty clinical services.
  • Experience in dialysis, infusion, or wound care settings preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Exhibit an independent drive and demonstrated ability to lead change
  • Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and electronic medical records, ideally EPIC
  • Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business and patient information
  • Display and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standards
  • Clearly and effectively convey information to patients
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently
  • Ability to consistently carry out job responsibilities, able to acknowledge when commitments are not met, and take appropriate steps to fulfill responsibility
  • Ability to clearly and effectively convey information to individuals or groups, including ability to choose the appropriate method or methods of communication
  • Ability to analyze, identify, and solve problems while using sound judgment
