Overview

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) in a hospital setting located in Viroqua, Wisconsin. This travel temporary assignment begins on 06/22/2026 and runs for 8 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,394 to $2,488 per week, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is 3x12-hour nights (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.), with every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation. You will work in a Critical Access Hospital providing labor and delivery, postpartum, and mother-baby care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct obstetric nursing care for laboring patients, including continuous fetal monitoring and newborn assessments
  • Assist with delivery and immediate postpartum care; administer medications as ordered; monitor labor progress
  • Deliver postpartum education and newborn care instruction to patients and families
  • Collaborate with the obstetric, nursing, and ancillary teams to ensure safe, high‑quality patient outcomes
  • Document care plans, assessments, and procedures accurately in the medical record
  • Respond to obstetric emergencies, stabilize patients, and implement rapid‑response measures as needed
Requirements
  • Active, unrestricted RN license in Wisconsin or eligibility for licensure by endorsement
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, or mother‑baby care (preferred)
  • Ability to work 12‑hour night shifts (7 p.m.–7 a.m.) and participate in weekend/holiday rotation
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and teamwork skills in a high‑acuity obstetric setting
  • Willingness to work a travel temporary assignment and complete credentialing and onboarding within the contract timeframe
