Position Title: Occupational Therapist (OT)

Location: Upland Hills Health - Area Schools

Role & Department: Occupational Therapist (OT) at our UHH Area Schools

Hours & Shift: Part-Time to Full-time (0.5 FTE - 1.0 FTE) day shift position, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• Completing OT evaluations and treatments within the school setting following DPI guidelines.
• Supporting student participation in academic activities by addressing fine motor skills, sensory needs, self-regulation, and functional school tasks.
• Participating in IEP processes, including assessment, goal planning, and progress reporting.
• Conducting outpatient pediatric OT evaluations and treatments as assigned.
• Designing, organizing, and implementing medically prescribed OT treatment programs; supervising support personnel when applicable.
• Evaluating, documenting, and communicating student/patient progress to school staff, families, and the rehab team.
• Developing new programs and services based on identified needs within the schools or outpatient department.
• Maintaining timely and accurate documentation according to UHH and district policies.

• Candidates must be licensed in the State of Wisconsin as an Occupational Therapist.
• Must have DPI License/Certification to provide OT services in Wisconsin schools.
• Prior work experience as a treating therapist is preferred but not essential.
• Experience with EMR’s is preferred.
• Interest in professional growth as demonstrated by attendance at continuing education programs and participation in professional organizations.
• Ability to direct, implement, and report on effectiveness of OT treatments.
• Previous experience with the Microsoft Office Suite software programs is beneficial.
• Prior experience using the EPIC medical record system is preferred but not required.

Up to a $5,000.00 bonus prorated based on the newly hired employee’s FTE. Bonus payments will be made based on the FTE schedule below.

• 1.0 FTE – $5,000
• 0.9 FTE – $4,500
• 0.8 FTE – $4,000
• 0.7 FTE – $3,500
• 0.6 FTE – $3,000
• 0.5 FTE – $2,500

The Employment Bonus will be paid out at set times during the first 3 years of employment in equal installments. The total bonus amount will be divided by six and then will be paid out at six different periods of time as follows: 6 months, 1 year, 18 months, 2 years, 30 months, and a final payment at the 3‑year anniversary.

This Employment Bonus will be paid for specifically stated Occupational Therapist positions who are hired at a .5 FTE employment status or greater. Please note that the OT must continue to be employed here at UHH and be at a .5 FTE status or greater at the time each of the bonuses are scheduled to be paid out to be eligible to receive them.
