Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Full-time position located at Black River Healthcare Clinic – Hospital Campus. 80-hour per pay period. Day shift, Monday–Friday. Benefits included.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains standards of excellence following standards set forth by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the Compliance Team, the National Committee for Quality Assurance, and the organization’s policies and procedures.
• Performs various functions in the Black River Healthcare Clinic, including screening telephone calls related to patient care and evaluating according to the protocols set forth by the provider. Discusses with the provider when indicated.
• Utilizes an online scheduling system to schedule follow‑up appointments and coordinate necessary tests or procedures in collaboration with other departments and healthcare facilities.
• Administers medications, immunizations, and performs lab draws as directed by the provider, following organizational procedures.
• Completes forms as needed for each physician/provider and assists with obtaining necessary signatures on appropriate admissions and/or consents for treatments.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• One to two years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or able to complete within three months of hire.
• Certification through AAMA, CCMA, AMT (registered), ARMA, or NCMA required within three months of hire.
• Knowledge of basic office procedures, equipment, and computer systems preferred.
