As a Youth Care Worker, you will facilitate a positive living environment for our teenage residents by offering support, encouragement, and guidance. The ability to understand the perspective of others is critical and staff must truly care about the success of youth. You will work alongside residents to support achievement of treatment goals through engagement in healthy and productive daily activities by doing the following:
Responsibilities- Leading daily programming activities and promoting positive participation
- Engaging with residents through recreational activities, groups, meals, and other aspects of daily living
- Responding to critical resident needs as they arise
- Participating in developing and maintaining a therapeutic, safe, and supportive environment
- Actively participating in house and team meetings
- Attending initial and ongoing training sessions
- Initial and continuous training
- Flexible scheduling
- $1 per hour weekend shift differential pay

- Eligible for a performance‑based pay increase at 6 months and 1 year during the first year of employment, and then annually thereafter
- Experience with caregiving
- Experience working in schools or childcare
- Experience working in law enforcement or corrections
- Experience working at youth camps
- Experience volunteering in a helping role
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
Ability to type and document daily activities - Must be caring and resilient
- Current student or graduate with a degree in human services, behavioral counseling, criminal justice, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- Previous experience working with an adolescent population (preferred but not required)
The minimum shift requirement is one weekday shift per week and two shifts every other weekend. Additional shifts may be available for individuals interested in working additional hours above the minimum requirement.
Typical Shifts- Weekdays – 3 pm to 10 pm
- Weekends – 9 am to 3 pm, 3 pm to 11 pm, and midnight to 6 am
- Holidays (rotation) – 9 am to 3 pm, 3 pm to 11 pm, and midnight to 6 am
