Job SummaryThe Scheduler/Central Supply Clerk is responsible for coordinating the staffing needs of the facility for a defined resident/patient population and time frame. You will need to maintain accurate records related to the staffing of the nursing department. This position requires being on call on certain nights and weekends to field staff call-ins and their respective replacements, and is ideal for someone with at least 2 years of scheduling experience in a nursing home setting.
The Scheduler/Central Supply Clerk is also primarily responsible for providing supplies and equipment for various departments and scheduling staff in the facility. Specifically, you will be responsible for providing supplies and equipment in an efficient manner, in accordance with established procedures to various departments in the facility, and maintaining supplies and storage rooms in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. You will also have the additional responsibility of checking invoices, purchase orders, packing slips, etc.
with incoming merchandise.
- Must have at minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D
- Ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator, director, and motivator
- Must be detail oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast paced environment
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in health care central supply position
- Must have knowledge of staffing and orientation schedules
- Must speak, read, and write fluently in English
- Must have reliable transportation
