Culinary Aide - Per Diem Position

Overview

Position Title: Culinary Aide
Location: Upland Hills Health - Dodgeville Hospital Campus
Role & Department: Culinary Aide in the Culinary Services Department
Hours & Shift: Per diem, Day Shift Position, primarily 6:00 a.m.

- 2:30 p.m.

• Deliver food to patients/residents
• Will train for multiple positions to fit the needs of the department
• Assist patients/residents make meal choices according to their diets
• Provide basic diet order education and guidance on appropriate food choices based on patient therapeutic diet order
• Utilize software to place meal orders
• Assemble meal trays for delivery
• Stock kitchen & kitchenettes within the facility and rotating goods in the kitchenettes with snacks and nourishments
• Ensure diet and texture are correct prior to serving
• Coordinate with nursing staff to meet patient/resident needs
• Basic cleaning and sanitizing work areas

• Basic nutritional knowledge is preferred, but not essential
• Good computer skills are required
• Prior food service work experience is preferred, but not essential
• This position requires a lot of walking and the ability to bend and kneel.
