Location: Viroqua
Job Overview
Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Technician – Viroqua, WI. Full‑time, 36 hours per week (0.9
FTE). 8–9‑hour days, Monday–Friday, 7:30a.m.–5:00p.m., no weekends. Starting pay $22.40 per hour plus shift differentials, with growth potential based on experience.
- Perform routine laboratory testing on a variety of specimens.
- Operate on all full‑scope procedures including chemical, microscopic, bacteriologic, molecular, and transfusion medicine.
- Analyze information and monitor quality performance to ensure accurate, timely results.
- Develop and implement laboratory procedures.
- Maintain quality control and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with sample collection, including EKG, DOT drug screens, and breath alcohol collections.
- Handle approximately 35–50 patients per day across all ages and abilities.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or Clinical Laboratory Science.
- ASCP Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in specimen collection, processing, and analysis.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures.
- Attention to detail and precision in work.
