The Program Director’s caseload will involve programs located in the Baraboo & Lyndon Station areas. Occasional travel to Madison is required.

• Lead and oversee residential programs, including high-acuity behavioral homes (AFH settings)
• Supervise, coach, and develop teams of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
• Drive implementation of Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) and partner on Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
• Provide leadership during crisis situations, ensuring safe, consistent, and compliant responses
• Collaborate with families, case managers, and clinical teams to ensure quality care
• Manage program operations including staffing, budgets, and compliance
• Train new and existing staff on behavioral interventions, safety protocols, and best practices
• Conduct performance management, including coaching, evaluations, and disciplinary action as needed
• Participate in an on-call rotation, supporting both traditional and behavioral programs

This position is in-office, providing site supervision for direct care staff. This role involves typical office hours, Monday through Friday, full-time, with a flexible schedule that requires availability for on-call duties during the rotation (including weekends and odd hours). Travel to Madison is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Science, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
• Experience supporting individuals with co-occurring developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses
• At least one-year, hands‑on experience with behavioral interventions and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
• Proven ability to manage crisis situations, de‑escalation, and high‑risk behaviors
• Experience in residential, group home, or behavioral health settings highly preferred
• Strong decision‑making, communication, and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and acceptable driving record
