Synopsis

The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of duties to provide quality care to residents. Duties include getting residents up, prepared for meals and helping with some of their residential duties like making beds, doing laundry and taking out trash.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this position.

These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.

Other duties may berequiredand assigned.

  • Answer call lights.
  • Set upthe kitchenfor breakfast.
  • Pass out medications.
  • Prepare breakfast.
  • Collect resident laundry,trash,and perform laundry duties.
  • Resetthe dining room and prepare lunch alternatives.
  • Assistin the kitchen by checking food temperatures, dishing up desserts, distributingdesserts,and beverages.
  • Foldlaundryandput itaway for residents.
  • Complete reports for shiftchange.
  • Ambulates residents. Escorts and transports residents to dining room,activities,and other areas within the facility.
  • Assistsresidents with personal hygiene/grooming, or performs personal hygiene for residents such as bathing, shaving, toileting, cutting nails, brushing hair, dressing, brushing teeth and others.
  • Makes beds, collects dirty bedlinens,and takes to laundry.
  • Cleans eating areas.

    Picksup food trays,load,and unload dishwasher.
  • Loads andunloadswashers and dryers and fold clothes and linens.
  • Participates intrainingsand meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned orapparent.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of CBRF training, Fire Safety, First Aid and Choking, Standard Precaution and Medication Administration.
