Speech Language Pathologist

The Pines Post Acute and Memory Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Speech Therapist to join our supportive team in a welcoming nursing home environment. Whether you're an experienced professional or completing your Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), we welcome you to grow your career with us.

Pay: $40- $50/hr pay is based on experience.

Hours:

Monday-Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively screens/evaluates patients with communication, cognitive or swallowing disorders and develops appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards.
  • Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
  • Provides rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with communication, cognitive and/or swallowing disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
  • Assesses patient's progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
  • Evaluates treatment outcomes for effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of early intervention practices and building caseloads.
  • Experience working in long term care.
  • Knowledge of PCC is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on improving quality of life.
