Therapist In Training (Full-Time)

Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan (LSS) Location: 1850 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI 53511

Begin Your Clinical Career with Purpose

Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan (LSS) is seeking a full-time Therapist In Training to join our Beloit outpatient mental health team. This is an excellent opportunity for a master's-level clinician who is working toward independent licensure and wants meaningful clinical experience, high-quality supervision, and the opportunity to serve individuals involved with the Department of Corrections (DOC) and other community-based populations.

If you are passionate about helping people build healthier lives while growing your clinical skills in a supportive environment, we encourage you to apply.

What You'll Do

Under the supervision of a licensed therapist or psychologist, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and evaluations
  • Develop collaborative treatment plans
  • Provide individual psychotherapy and counseling services
  • Deliver psychoeducation and skill-building interventions
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
  • Participate in treatment team and recovery team meetings
  • Collaborate with community partners and referral sources
  • Engage in ongoing clinical supervision and professional development
  • Utilize trauma-informed, person-centered, and evidence-based practices

This position is primarily focused on individual therapy services. While occasional group coverage opportunities may arise, group facilitation is not a primary responsibility of this role.

Work Environment & Schedule

We understand the importance of flexibility for clinicians.

Hybrid Work Schedule
  • Onsite in Beloit: Monday and Wednesday
  • Telehealth: Tuesday and Thursday
  • Friday: Telehealth or onsite based on client and program needs
Flexible Scheduling

Therapists have flexibility to establish a schedule that works for them and their clients. Examples may include:

  • Four 10-hour days
  • Monday through Thursday with a shorter Friday
  • Other consistent schedules approved by leadership

One evening appointment per week is required, typically scheduled at 5:00 PM, to support client access to services.

Once established, schedules should remain consistent to support continuity of care for clients.
