Location: Helenville

Description:

Oak Tree Child and Family Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. This position provides therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing mental health and behavioral challenges. The counselor will work collaboratively with clients and other professionals to support emotional wellness, stability, and positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and/or group counseling services to clients
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Monitor and document client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with agency policies and state regulations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, community partners, and referral sources
  • Provide crisis intervention and support when needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Nursing, or a related mental health field
  • Fully licensed in Wisconsin as one of the following: LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or APNP
  • Experience providing mental health counseling or behavioral health services
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
  • Ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, adults, and families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in community-based or family-focused mental health services
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care
  • Experience collaborating with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations
