Transportation Driver

As a Transportation Driver with Sevita, you'll safely transport individuals to medical and community appointments, supporting their independence and well-being. You'll provide courteous, door-to-door assistance, operate and inspect vehicles and mobility equipment, and follow all safety and infection control procedures. In this person-centered role, you'll communicate respectfully with individuals, families, and care teams, complete basic trip documentation, and report concerns promptly.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely transportation to medical and community appointments
• Offer door-to-door assistance, including helping with mobility aids as needed
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle safety inspections
• Operate wheelchair lifts and securement systems safely when required
• Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and infection control procedures
• Maintain accurate trip logs and basic electronic or paper documentation
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with individuals, families, and staff
• Monitor riders' well-being during trips and report concerns promptly
• Coordinate schedules and routes to maximize on-time performance
• Participate in required training and adhere to Sevita's person-centered care standards
