Campbellsport High School

Back in Action Rehabilitation outpatient orthopedics

Reports To:

Owner of Back in Action Rehabilitation and Athletic Director of Campbellsport High School

We are seeking a dedicated and certified Athletic Trainer to join our sports medicine team. In this role, you will be responsible for the prevention, evaluation, immediate care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. You will work closely with athletes, coaching staff, and physicians to ensure a safe, healthy environment for peak physical performance. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, works well under pressure, and is committed to athlete welfare and long-term recovery goals.

Injury Prevention:
Design and implement conditioning, taping, and injury prevention programs.
On-Site Coverage:
Provide medical coverage at practices, home games, and designated away events.
Acute Care:
Administer immediate first aid and emergency care for acute athletic injuries.
Clinical Evaluation:
Assess and diagnose sports-related musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.
Rehabilitation:
Develop and supervise custom recovery and rehabilitation plans for injured athletes.
Medical

Collaboration:

Partner with physicians to manage care plans, concussions, and clear athletes for return-to-play.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate, confidential medical records regarding treatments and player progress using [Insert EMR System, e.g., Epic].
Inventory & Budgeting:
Manage the athletic training facility budget, stock supplies, and maintain therapeutic equipment.

Education:

Master’s Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-accredited program.
Certification:
Active Board of Certification (BOC) for the Athletic Trainer credential.
Licensure:
Wisconsin State athletic training licensure (or eligibility to obtain it before the start date).
Emergency Care:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR/AED certification for Healthcare Providers.
Physical Demands:
Work is medium demand. Lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects. Medium strength is required to position patients for examination. May assist patients as needed, helping them on and off the exam table and/or bed. Must be able to work in outdoor conditions. Stand or walk for long periods during events.
Travel:
Willingness to travel with sports teams as required by the game schedule.

Track Record: [1–3+] years of experience working in a high school, collegiate, or clinical sports setting.
Specializations:
Experience with concussion management protocols and orthopedic casting/splinting.
