Description
The Ultrasonographer performs high-quality, age-specific ultrasound imaging to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions. This is a generalist role with a diverse scope of practice, including General, OB/GYN, Vascular, and potential breast imaging procedures
.
This position requires strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, safety, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across multiple specialties
- Produce accurate, high-quality images for physician interpretation
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and understanding throughout procedures
- Collaborate with providers and healthcare team members
- Maintain equipment and adhere to quality and safety standards
Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate of an approved Medical Sonography program required
Certifications:
- ARDMS certification required
- Registries in Abdomen (ABD) and OB/GYN required
- RVT (Vascular Technology) certification preferred/required
- Current CPR certification required
