We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join our Laboratory Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced laboratory professional or a recent graduate looking to expand their skills in a full-service hospital laboratory. You'll work alongside a collaborative healthcare team and play a vital role in delivering accurate, timely diagnostic results that impact patient care every day.
Position SummaryThe Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Scientist provides information essential for patient diagnosis and treatment by collecting, processing, analyzing, and reporting laboratory test results. The successful candidate will perform testing in multiple laboratory disciplines, including:
- Hematology
- Immunohematology (Blood Bank)
- Coagulation
- Urinalysis
- Microbiology
- Blood Gases
- Molecular Testing
- Perform testing in Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Immunology, Microbiology, Blood Gases, Molecular Testing, and Toxicology.
- Collect, process, and analyze patient specimens.
- Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Analyze, verify, and report accurate test results.
- Maintain quality control and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
- Associate degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program.
- ASCP certification preferred; certification-eligible candidates encouraged to apply.
- CPR certification required before working independently.
