A-Line Staffing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Compounding Pharmacist (PRN). This role offers career growth, a supportive work environment.

DETAILS AND COMPENSATION
  • Location:

    Hudson WI 54016 – 100% on-site
  • Payrate: $65.75/hr
  • Bonus & On-Call Compensation: $1,000 bonus granted once on payroll for 30 days from hire
  • $75 per on-call shift / per diem
  • $75 per dispensing call/order
  • Required Availability: PRN | scheduled weekend shifts + evening/overnight on-call
  • Weekend Scheduled Coverage:
    Approximately 2 scheduled weekend shifts per month on a 4-week rotation (12:00 PM to 4:00 PM). Additional weekend and PTO coverage as needed.
  • Weekday Coverage:
    Typical pharmacy hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with approximately 3 to 4 on-call evenings per week based on scheduling needs.

    Weekdays: 6:00 PM to 10:00 AM / Weekends: 4:00 PM to 12:00 PM
SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS

The Compounding Pharmacist (PRN) will provide PRN weekend, PTO, and after-hours pharmacy coverage. This position is well suited for an experienced pharmacist who is comfortable working independently, handling after-hours prescription needs, and providing reliable weekend and PTO coverage.

Experience with non-sterile compounding and on-call/overnight pharmacy services is strongly preferred.

This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.

Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance.

A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review, verify, accept, and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
  • Ensure medications are appropriate for the patient and comply with applicable laws, regulations, and pharmacy standards.
  • Monitor medication compliance, utilization, and potential overuse patterns.
  • Provide medication consultation to patients regarding dosage, administration, drug interactions, side effects, storage, and handling.
  • Identify drug-related problems and communicate recommendations to physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy interns, technicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Compound medications for internal and external use according to established procedures.
  • Support preparation of sterile solutions when required.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of medications and pharmacy supplies.
  • Supervise and provide direction to pharmacy technicians, clerks, interns, and other pharmacy staff as applicable.
  • Provide patient education related to medications and medical devices (such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters).
  • Respond appropriately to after-hours prescription and dispensing needs while working independently.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Education:

    Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
  • Attendance:
    Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
  • Active Wisconsin Pharmacist license.
  • Pharmacy experience required, with strong knowledge of prescription medications, drug interactions, dosing, and medication safety.
  • Non-sterile compounding experience.
  • Strong communication, patient counseling, and independent clinical decision-making skills.
  • Strict attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to confidentiality regulations.
  • Preferred Experience:

    Previous on-call, overnight, PRN, or after-hours pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience handling urgent prescription or dispensing needs outside normal pharmacy hours.
