Job Description

Health Partners is looking to hire a Department Assistant to join our Amery Behavioral Health team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary
  • Understands and supports the AHC mission, vision, guiding principles and standards of behavior.
  • To assist with various responsibilities of the Materials Services department; to receive, store, issue, inventory stock levels, monitor materials, supplies, and equipment; and to perform related duties as assigned.
  • This position requires some experience in the management of materials and the duties related to Materials Services.
  • All AHC employees are responsible to participate in quality and process improvement activities.
  • Every effort has been made to make this job description as complete as possible. However, it is emphasized that you may be required to perform other related duties and activities.
Essential Duties
  • Establishes and maintains effective par levels of medical supplies and equipment for assigned areas
  • Troubleshoots and provides solutions for product shortages and other service issues.
  • Places orders for supplies using Lawson, Lawson hand helds and/or other means
  • Establishes and maintains hand held records in IC81
  • Distributes materials, supplies and equipment throughout the campus
  • Helps order additional rental equipment
  • Contacts vendors to follow up on problems and obtain information
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work environment
  • Performs general clerical duties such as computer entry, scanning and filing
  • Records surplus inventory and maintains logs and reports
  • Receives, stocks, distributes materials, supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and makes recommendations
  • Makes returns of supplies and equipment
  • Helps manage printer supplies and equipment
  • Checks expiration dates and rotates product accordingly
  • The ability to work well with others
  • Processes UPS and Fed Ex deliveries/pickups
  • Helps manage Ricoh copiers and fix it tickets for copiers
  • Works as a liaison with TLC Biomedical group for equipment repairs
  • Inspects incoming merchandise for damage and/or defects and verify packing slip with purchase order.

M-F flexible schedule

Required Qualifications
  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience:
    • Prefer three (3) years’ experience in medical materials management and/or prefer three (3) years’ experience/knowledge of products and/or process related to materials management.
