Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant needed for a temp contract opportunity with Yoh’s manufacturing client located in Rothschild, WI
. Flexible scheduling for 1 to 5 days a week!
The clinic offers occupational and preventative care for employees. You will be the only provider onsite, working alongside an Athletic Trainer. The position is focused on the protection of individuals from occupational and environmental hazards, illness and injury prevention, and health promotion. Job is anticipating to be temporary for about three months, with possibility for extension.
SHIFTSOpen availability for one to five days a week, between Monday and Friday. Preferred hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, but can be flexible.
Top Skills You Should Possess- Active/unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (ANP/FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) license in state of Wisconsin
- Minimum of (3) years' experience at a provider level
- Previous experience in:
Occupational/Employee Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Corrections, Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, Family Practice, or Critical Care type setting - Must be confident with drawing blood
- Assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns
- Medical surveillance: hearing conservation (audiometry exams), spirometry, drug testing, phlebotomy, etc.
- Perform onsite physical assessments (pre-placement, return-to-work, fitness-for-duty) and coordinate treatment planning
- Ambulatory care such as treating sore throats, ear aches, rashes, pink eye, etc.
- Provide onsite testing for strep pharyngitis, UTI, influenza, hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia
- Work collaboratively to recognize environmental hazards and/or stresses in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health, or discomfort among the workers; create preventative measures that ensure the health and safety of employees
- Provide support and case management for both work-related and non-work-related conditions for the purposes of reducing illness and absenteeism
- Provide proactive and mobile engagement with the workforce from a prevention standpoint; seek out interactions with employees and build relationships
- Respond to medical emergencies onsite and provide emergency medical care as-needed
- Nationally Certified (ANCC or AANP) or NCCP
- Current BLS
- Trained in spirometry (NIOSH Certified)
- Audiometry testing certified (CAOHC/COHC)
- Certified Drug Test Collector/Certified DOT Specimen Collector
- Computer skills with previous experience using EMR and MS Office products
- Interpersonal skills necessary to interview, teach and counsel patients and interact with multidisciplinary team members (EHS, HR, Medical Director)
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of onsite work needs; ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds, frequent standing, walking, sitting, squatting
