Butler, Riverbend

Overview

Butler will provide professional and personal service to guests and members for the duration of stay. Butlers will perform a variety of services, including but not limited to: loading/unloading luggage, valet, check in/out members/guests, arrange transportation, managing food and beverage stations, pressing guest garments, assisting with unpacking/packing, and maintaining facility cleanliness.

• Arrival:
  Open the door and greet members/guests with a proper greeting and last name; register them in the property management system; escort them to their rooms with luggage; explain the door lock system and emergency exits; in the room, hang garments in the closet, explain room amenities, and place luggage on a luggage rack; offer unpacking service as appropriate; valet their vehicle.
• Departure:
  Provide a copy of the bill for review and answer questions regarding charges; check out of the property management system; remove luggage from the room and bring it to the lobby (store in storage closet or luggage room if necessary); retrieve vehicle as requested.
• Inhouse:
  Deliver any necessary items to room.
• Reservation:
  Assist with requested reservations for all Member’s amenities in the PMS system.
• Food Service:
  Set up food service and beverages; serve guests and be available to arrange any other services for them.
• Cashing Responsibilities:
  Accurately post charges to the room.
• Work Area Responsibilities:
  Maintain a clean work area and furniture arrangement for Great Hall, Living Room, Solarium, storage closet/cloak rooms, and exterior.
• Information Responsibilities:
  Maintain a working knowledge of all in-house facilities and hours of operation, as well as daily activities and area attractions; provide guests with information regarding other Kohler accommodations and outlets, including history; respond timely to special requests; inform hotel departments as appropriate; inform supervisor of any guest problems or unusual circumstances.

• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Physical requirements include walking, standing for extended periods, bending, reaching and frequently lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Some previous experience in guest services preferred.
• Work hours will frequently include weekends and holidays and occasionally include overnight shifts.

We offer day 1 benefits. The hourly range for this position is $13.35 - $20.05. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate s education and work location.
