Laundry Supervisor

The Laundry Department Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the hotel’s laundry services, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and efficiency. This role involves managing staff, maintaining equipment, and implementing best practices to deliver quality and timely service.

• Previous experience in laundry operations, preferably in a hospitality setting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Knowledge of laundry equipment and chemicals, including safety handling procedures.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication skills and a customer service‑oriented mindset.

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of laundry staff, including training of new staff.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, as well as hotel policies and procedures.
• Monitor laundry operations: sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and equipment; report to Housekeeping Manager for ordering.
• Conduct regular inspections of laundry equipment to ensure proper functioning and report need for repair or maintenance.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure seamless service and communication.

• Address and resolve any issues or complaints related to laundry services promptly and professionally.
• Effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
• Schedule may vary on business needs, and may include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime, or reduced hours.
• Perform other related duties as requested by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.

Indoor work with hard and carpeted surfaces. Occasional outdoor work. Good ventilation with artificial lighting.
