Frederick County Government is seeking a highly skilled and resilient Talent Acquisition Partner to lead full life-cycle recruiting across our diverse County government workforce. This is a mission-critical role supporting departments that directly serve our community, including Sheriff’s Office, Fire & Rescue, Jail, Public Works, Parks & Recreation, and County Administration. In a fast-paced, high-volume environment, you will serve as a trusted hiring advisor delivering an exceptional candidate experience while confidently establishing professional boundaries that uphold compliance, accountability, and process integrity.

- Lead full life-cycle recruitment for a high volume of year-round positions across diverse County departments, from intake through offer and onboarding.
- Serve as a strategic hiring partner and trusted advisor to department leaders by forecasting workforce needs, establishing clear expectations, and ensuring compliant, efficient hiring practices.
- Source, engage, and manage active and passive candidates while delivering a professional, equitable, and high-quality candidate experience.
- Drive talent acquisition strategy, employer branding, and recruitment marketing initiatives, including social media, career fairs, and partnerships, while managing the talent acquisition budget for maximum ROI.
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across recruiting systems, job documentation, onboarding activities, and HR projects in collaboration with the HR team.
- 3+ years of hands-on talent acquisition experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment required.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel to collect and analyze talent acquisition data and trends.
- Confident, assertive communicator who can enforce process, manage competing priorities, and maintain disciplined, well-governed hiring practices.
- Trusted advisor to hiring managers with the credibility to influence and guide decision-making.
- Highly detail-oriented and adaptable self-starter, able to prioritize, problem-solve, and execute independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
