Human Resources Generalist/Office Administrator
At Beecher's Handmade Cheese, we believe great cheese comes from great ingredients, skilled craftsmanship, and doing things the right way. For over 20 years, we have been making award-winning cheeses in Seattle's Pike Place Market, building our reputation through traditional, artisanal methods, making no compromises on our high bar for deliciousness and quality.
We're excited to bring Beecher's to Southwest Wisconsin and are looking for a Human Resources Generalist/Office Administrator. This role is a key part of the plant. You'll shape the employee experience from day one supporting hiring, onboarding, employee relations, and day-to-day HR while also keeping the office organized and operations running smoothly. You'll be a trusted resource for employees and a close partner to the Plant Manager and corporate HR team.
We're looking for someone who enjoys helping people, creating order, solving problems, and making the workplace better every day.
What You'll Do
- Lead recruiting, onboarding, and orientation setting the tone for a strong employee experience from day one
- Serve as the go-to HR and administrative resource for the Wisconsin facility
- Partner closely with managers on hiring, performance, and employee relations
- Support payroll, safety documentation, and compliance to keep the plant running clean and on track
- Coordinate training, communication, and engagement to keep teams informed and connected
- Help connect teams across the plant so communication is clear and follow-through happens
- Keep the office organized, welcoming, and running smoothly day to day
- Coordinate travel, meetings, visitors, and plant events
- Manage supplies, vendors, and administrative services
- Partner with plant leadership and the corporate HR team to move work forward
- Jump in wherever needed. "Other duties as assigned" is just another way of saying, "We trust you to help us get it done."
Who You Are
- 2+ years of experience in HR, office administration, or a similar hands-on role, ideally in manufacturing, food production, or a plant environment
- Experience with recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations in a day-to-day, onsite setting
- Comfortable balancing HR responsibilities with general office coordination
- Highly organized and dependable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities throughout the day
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, you're approachable, responsive, and build trust quickly
- Able to work independently as the primary onsite HR and administrative resource, while staying connected to a broader HR team
- Willing to be out on the floor and engaged in the day-to-day operations of the plant
- A positive, team-first mindset, you enjoy helping others and stepping in where needed
- High integrity, you do the right thing, even when it's not easy
- Curious and open to using technology to make work more efficient
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, growing environment where no two days look the same

Compensation & Benefits
The starting salary range for this position is between $60,000 - $70,000 per year, plus an annual bonus plan. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We offer medical, dental, vision and life insurance premiums, along with 15 days paid time-off, 9 paid holidays, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
