Position Title: Bilingual Receptionist/Recruiter

Wage: $23.00 per hour

QPS Employment Group has a great Bilingual Receptionist/Recruiter position available at a company in New Glarus, WI. As a vital member of the Talent Acquisition and Employee Experience team, the Receptionist/Recruiter serves dual functions—creating a welcoming front for visitors and candidates alike while driving our recruitment efforts. This role offers a unique opportunity to showcase your personable demeanor while engaging in strategic talent sourcing and hiring to support our growth and success.

This is a temporary position.

Bilingual Receptionist/Recruiter Responsibilities
  • Greet visitors, manage phone calls, handle incoming correspondence, and ensure a professional and friendly reception area.
  • Proactively identify and attract potential candidates through online platforms, social media, networking events, and industry connections.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to create compelling job listings; coordinate posting efforts with media and recruiting partners to maximize exposure.
  • Schedule interviews, participate in candidate assessments, and facilitate the hiring process by providing a seamless experience for applicants.
  • Extend job offers to successful candidates and support onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Utilize applicant tracking systems and other tools to maintain accurate records, track recruitment metrics, and streamline processes.
  • Provide regular updates on hiring progress, challenges, and timelines to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Act as an ambassador for the company, promoting our culture and values to attract top talent during networking events and community engagement.
  • Conduct or coordinate background verifications to ensure compliance and maintain hiring standards.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, employment laws, and best practices; actively participate in professional events and networks to build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Answer and respond to phone calls and inquiries promptly, helping resolve employee queries.
  • Assist the HR team with administrative tasks, including organizing files, managing orientation materials, and processing new employee documentation.
  • Monitor and compile daily attendance call-in lists for plant employees and assist with maintaining absence records for line supervisors.
  • Restock office supplies and refreshment items regularly.
  • Support the operation of the company store, including inventory management.
  • Organize locker assignments, create and replace employee badges, and log locker information securely.
  • Assist during new employee orientations and order lunch for attendees.
  • Provide coverage for reception during office hours and contribute to process improvements as needed.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned by the HR team.
Bilingual Receptionist/Recruiter Requirements
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in recruitment, talent sourcing, or HR support, ideally within the food manufacturing or Consumer Packaged Goods industries.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills—professional, personable, and confident.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and best practices for hiring.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent active listening skills to understand candidates and stakeholder needs effectively.
  • Ability to work well under deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to maintain accurate records and handle multiple priorities independently.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office applications like Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Physical capacity to perform tasks involving sustained sitting, standing, and reading; moderate lifting (up to 20 pounds) may be required occasionally.
  • Must be able to hear and see clearly for effective communication and documentation.
