We are seeking an experienced IBM MQ Lead to manage IBM MQ administration, production support, system implementation, migrations, and high‑availability solutions. The ideal candidate will provide L3 support, perform root cause analysis, manage incidents and changes, and ensure the stability and performance of enterprise messaging infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Administer, configure, implement, and support IBM MQ environments.
- Design IBM MQ solutions based on business requirements.
- Perform IBM MQ installation, configuration, migration, upgrades, and patching.
- Manage MQ High Availability (RDQM), Disaster Recovery (DR), and SSL certificate implementation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve L1/L2/L3 production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Handle incident, problem, and change management following ITIL processes.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and IBM support for issue resolution.
- Support MQ Server/Client architecture, Point‑to‑Point messaging, and queue manager administration.
- Monitor system performance and ensure service availability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and support procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of IBM MQ Administration and Production Support experience.
- Strong knowledge of IBM MQ Architecture and Queue Manager Administration.
- Experience with IBM MQ installation, configuration, migration, upgrades, and fix packs.
- Hands‑on experience with RDQM, Disaster Recovery, SSL/TLS configuration, and High Availability.
- Experience supporting Windows and Linux environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience working with IBM Support for complex production issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- ITIL (Incident, Problem & Change Management).
- IBM Sterling Connect:
Direct, BMC Control‑M, or Cross File Transfer (CFT). - Enterprise messaging infrastructure and middleware support.
- Experience with enterprise architecture, postmortems, and process improvement.
- Ability to mentor support teams and collaborate across L1/L2/L3 support functions.
