SummaryMed Associates Inc. is seeking applicants to fill a new position that combines a customer support role with an application specialist role. Both bring key features that would make this opportunity the perfect fit for someone who enjoys being part of the research field, carries a strong knowledge of Med Associates products or has a technical skills in providing customer support.
The application specialist side of this role would require someone to have knowledge of reading and comprehending research papers that could advise customer on the most appropriate Med Associates (or related company) instrumentation to meet their needs. The application specialist also prepares reports, so proficient experience with Excel is a must.
The successful candidate will be responsible for serving both Med Associates’ domestic and international customer base with various levels of support of their Med Associates products. Having the ability to listen and provide easy to follow instructions for troubleshooting with the customer is a must. Excellent people skills with the ability to calm a customer who is frustrated because they are in the middle of an experiment.

Duties+Repsonsibilities- Manage support Inbox
- Log all support calls in the dedicated database
- Remote into customers on site computer if connected to network
- Knowledge of how to upload and send downloadable links
- Remain up to date on products change/New product Compatibility
- Communicate with customers via phone, video conference, email, and in person
- Discuss customer‑specific applications with end users to evaluate their research goals and instrumentation needs.
- Assist customers with training and troubleshooting for their new and existing equipment
- Represent company at trade shows/conferences/conventions
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications include
- Associates Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electro Mechanical Engineering, a related discipline or considerable experience in one of these fields
- Knowledge or understanding of at least one coding language (Examples: C, Python, Java, Matlab)
- Ability to learn our proprietary MSN language
- Strong technical foundation

- Good organizational and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated team player with excellent communication skills & ability to work directly with people of varying backgrounds
- Ability to multi‑task

- Ability to install software updates and conduct fixes
- General knowledge of PC setup, installation, and hardware repair
- Experience with providing solutions and support
- Comfortable with video calling
- Ability to lift heavy loads and do manual labor, such as unpack/pack containers for installations, setup and dismantle trade show booths
- Proficient with Outlook & Microsoft suite
- Technical skills including proficiency in the Windows environment, hardware to PC interfacing and electro mechanical equipment troubleshooting
Physical Requirements
- This is an indoor, primarily, office-based job requiring the use of a computer
- The job may require frequent travel.
- Use of hands is required to occasionally operate various equipment and handheld tools
- The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- The employee will be required to wear safety glasses and other personal protective equipment as needed.
