Substitute Custodian (Day and Evening Shifts)

• General maintenance as required
• Cleanrestroomsand/orshowers,includingstockingbathroomwithadequate.
• Emptywasteandothermaterials(e.g.,garbage,linen,recyclable materials, cigarettebutt,ashes,hazardous waste) intopropercontainersforcleaning, recycling,ordisposal.
• Cleanfloorand/orstairsurfacesusingdesignatedchemicals,supplies,and equipment (e.g.,brooms,mops,buffers,vacuums,wetvacuum,extractor, shampoomachine,stainremover).
• Cleanglass(e.g.,windows,mirrors) byremovingdust,spots,andsmears. Cleanandmaintainlightsbywipinglamps,light fixtures,andlightswitches,checkingthattheyareinproperworkingcondition,andreportingburnt outbulbs.
• Straightenandreturnfurnitureanddrapes/blindstocorrectpositionafter cleaning.
• Dustandcleansurfaces(e.g.,walls,furniture,fixtures,woodwork,pictures,phones,vending machines,elevators,fireextinguisherboxes,exitsigns,andair vents).
• Returncleaningcarttodesignatedareaattheendofshift.
• Restockcleaningcartwithdesignatedsuppliesattheendofshift.
• Transportcleaningcarttoassignedareaandpositionsecurely,followingproceduresforcartpositioning.
• Buff,polish,andstripfloorsusingheavyequipment.
• Polishfurniture,equipment,railings,andotherhardsurfaces(e.g.,brass,stainless steel) usingtheappropriatechemicalsforeachsurface.

Position requires knowledge of cleaning and maintenance with the ability to work independently.

Required license or certification:

Driver's license preferred.

Based upon experience, or starting $16.00
