Summary
Painters at Corcoran Glass & Paint are responsible for providing high-quality work to satisfy customer needs. Painters will work individually and in teams in a variety of situations and locations to complete a variety of commercial and industrial painting jobs by applying preparatory materials and painting designated areas.
Reports ToJob foreman reports to Project Manager; non-foreman report to job foreman.
Job Responsibilities- Perform work related to painting, paperhanging, and dry-wall taping.
- Paint using brushing, rolling, and spraying techniques.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and other technical documents such as paint mixing procedures.
- Ability and desire to become efficient with painting techniques and have a clear understanding of all aspects of a job as required.
- Possess good mechanical aptitude.
- Demonstrate initiative to identify what needs to be done and do it before being asked or required by the situation.
- Regularly contributes and is consistently open to new ideas.
- Operate, clean, and maintain all painting equipment and work areas.
- Maintain standard safety practices and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Minimum of 2 years previous painting experience is desired.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques related to industrial painting.
- Possess high attention to detail.
- Ability to climb and stoop.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have transportation to and from work.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to operate and work from aerial lift platforms as well as ladders and scaffolding.
- Must have a good previous work history.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision while taking initiative and setting priorities in a demanding, fast‑paced environment.
- Customer focus and desire to work effectively individually and with a team.
- Flexible and willing to learn new tasks and responsibilities.
