Overview
As a Sorter
, you’ll hand sort pallets and other materials within a distribution facility and ensure high levels of safety and cleanliness. This role involves maintaining high activity levels and supports the plant’s production.
Hourly Pay
: $16.00/hr
Shift
: 1st Shift Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm
Location
: W3955 Mill Road, Bryant, WI, 54418
- Hand stack pallets to appropriate heights
- Load and unload materials from trailers by hand
- Move pallets, or materials on pallets or in crates, around the facility
- Check loads to make sure they are secure
- Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
- Coordinate trailer moves within yard management system
- Accurately complete production paperwork to track progress
- Communicate directly with plant management regularly
- High school degree or GED required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills needed
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Ability to work in extreme conditions (elements, heat, cold, and air particulates)
- Repetitively lift up to 50-75 pounds and stand for varying lengths of time
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, hearing protection at several locations, safety shoes)
