Shift3rd Shift: 9:00 PM – 5:18 AM plus overtime. Occasional mandatory overtime may be required as needed.

Position:Iron Melt Operator
We are looking for an Iron Melt Operator to join our Cast Iron division. This position will be based at our Kohler, Wisconsin location. We specialize in manufacturing high-quality cast iron products.
Responsibilities- Slagging, charging, tapping and taking CE samples & temperatures of channel furnaces as directed by Control Technician.
- Use of pneumatic chipping hammer, use masonry/brick saw, perform ladle patch/rebuild with misc. refractories.
- Melt baghouse bag change out.
- Auto-pour furnace chip/patch, perform melt furnace chip/patch, melt furnace knockout and reline as needed, yard crane, HMC and preheat operations.
- Scrap load check-in.
- Fork lift certification is required. PPE requirements: 3.0 tinted safety glasses, slip off safety shoes with metatarsal guards, respirator, coveralls, etc.
- Schedule reflects production lines.

- Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1+ year of manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse experience preferred.
