Our client, a metal fabrication company is seeking a CMM Technician to join their team. As a CMM Technician, you will be part of the Quality Department supporting plant quality. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, a can‑do attitude, and a good work ethic which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $29-36/hour
What’s the Job?
- Operate, program, and maintain CMM equipment to perform dimensional inspections of parts and components according to engineering drawings, models, and specifications
- Write and edit CMM programs for new and existing parts, ensuring accuracy and repeatability in the measurement process
- Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and CAD models to set up and run inspections effectively
- Conduct detailed inspections of first articles, in-process parts, and final products to verify conformance to specifications
- Utilize CMM, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement tools to perform dimensional checks
- Document and record inspection results, ensuring all measurements meet required tolerances and quality standards.
What’s Needed?
- 2+ years of experience as a CMM Technician or Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with CMM programming and operation (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar software) is required
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and interpretation of engineering drawings
- Hands‑on experience with precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges)
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify root causes of quality issues
