Job Description

The role of an Electrical Assembly Technician I is basic assembly, electrical wiring, machine set up and check out. Compliance with company ERP system to assist with production and project work reporting, managing job tasks and helping the organization keep the customer database in pristine condition. This role is responsible for understanding the company electrical and technical needs to achieve company and customer needs.

Responsibilities for this position also include establishing and maintaining industry and electrical knowledge, working with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to solve any organization’s technical challenges. Expert in industry, packaging machines and technical skillsets.

Job Duties & Responsibilities KRA # 1 – Basic Electrical Assembly and Wiring
  • Assemble electrical components, subassemblies, and wiring harnesses according to provided schematics and specifications.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to ensure precision in assembly processes.
  • Conduct preliminary inspections for quality assurance to maintain high standards of workmanship.
KRA #2 – Basic Machine Setup and Checkout
  • Assist in the setup and calibration of machinery and equipment used in the assembly process.
  • Perform initial checkouts of machines to confirm operational efficiency and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot basic machine issues and report findings to senior technicians or supervisors.
KRA #3 – Compliance with ERP System
  • Update and maintain accurate records within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system related to assembly processes.
  • Ensure timely reporting of production metrics, inventory levels, and material usage.
  • Follow established protocols for data entry to enhance workflow and operational efficiency
KRA #4 – Technical Knowledge and Skill Development
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to improve technical skills in electrical assembly and related technologies.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, new tools, and techniques to enhance personal expertise and contribute to team growth.
  • Seek mentorship opportunities to foster professional development and gain insights from experienced colleagues.
KRA #5 – Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams
  • Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Participate in team meetings to share updates, address challenges, and propose solutions collaboratively.
  • Support a culture of open communication and teamwork to enhance operational synergy and project success.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in maintenance and wiring in a related industry.
  • Understanding of production and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with tools and equipment used in the process.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Understanding safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent;
    Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred.
Desired Skillset

  • Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Previous experience with troubleshooting and maintenance. 1-2 years.
