This position plays an important role in producing fabricated structures, weldments, and precision-machined components used in mission-critical maritime and defense applications.
You'll work with modern horizontal machining equipment and contribute directly to projects that support customers around the world.

- The Work You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
Set up and operate HN80 horizontal machining centers with dual pallet changers
Machine large weldments and complex components up to 4 feet in size
Independently set up intricate work pieces and fixturing
Read and interpret advanced blueprints, engineering drawings, and job layouts
Modify and create CNC programs as needed to meet production requirements
Verify tool paths and perform collision analysis when required
Select tooling and establish machine setups using setup documentation
Machine stainless steel, aluminum, exotic alloys, and high-temperature materials
Maintain dimensional accuracy while meeting production goals
Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments
Operate overhead cranes and perform rigging operations
Work closely with quality, engineering, and production teams
Maintain equipment and a safe, organized work environment

- What We're Looking For Required
CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
Strong mechanical aptitude and machining fundamentals
Understanding of tooling, offsets, and setup procedures
Experience using precision measuring instruments
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to safely lift, push, or pull up to 60 pounds
Ability to stand for extended periods
Preferred
Fanuc CNC experience
Experience with horizontal machining centers
Basic M-Code and G-Code knowledge
Multi-axis machining experience
Tool path verification and collision analysis experience
Machining program or technical school completion
Experience machining stainless steel, aluminum, exotic alloys, and high-temperature materials
Experience working with large weldments and fabricated components
Experience establishing and setting up quality gauging
