Personnel Scheduler
The Person nel Scheduler position is a dynamic, fast‑paced role that synthesizes production personnel assignments for the manufacturing teams and departments. This position interacts with employees across all levels of the organization. Strong attention to detail and solid time‑management abilities are required to effectively prioritize and complete multiple tasks throughout the day.
2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 1:00 pm – 10:00 pm
What You Do- Each day works with the Production Scheduler and Production Supervisors to determine the amount of staffing required for the next day’s production, ensuring all employees have a value‑added assignment.
- Coordinate personnel assignments when production and personnel changes happen throughout the shift, including reassignment of personnel movements based on production demands and personnel needs.
- Facilitate early departure of employees as lines go down, following guidelines set forth in the employee handbook.
- Coordinate shift exchange with oncoming personnel schedulers and plant leadership to communicate staffing changes.
- Schedule employees for the next day’s production by referencing work orders, considering employee seniority, skill, and ability for various line positions, and provide the schedule to supervisors and post it daily.
- Maintain the Skills Matrix to ensure training requirements and employee capabilities are up to date, preventing repetitive assignments that could compromise safety and ergonomics.
- Take calls from employees to inform them of their scheduling status and answer questions and concerns.
- Ensure accounting accuracy by tracking and adjusting employees’ clocking into the correct cost center for their line assignment or activity when transferring to different positions/departments.
- Communicate with Production Leadership, Employee Experience Team, and other employees on a variety of issues, managing confidential information with integrity and accuracy. Follow established policies and procedures consistently.
Education and Experience
- High School or GED required;
Associate degree preferred or six months to one year of related experience in manufacturing or an office administrative role.
