Quality Technician

Position Overview

Responsibilities include but are not limited to, supporting productions’ quality needs through use of Romer and CMM inspection machines and various measuring tooling such as:
Calipers, micrometer, height gauges and other inspection tools. The employee must possess a working knowledge of drawings and computer programs such as MS Office, PCdmis, Gage Trak, and PACE weld check needed to support the quality functional team.

• Component and assembled part dimensional inspection in accordance with the part drawing
• Line Romer for quality concerns
• Weld integrity testing, section, polish, and analyze
• Support / Engage of deviations
• Support Calibration system (inspection, test equipment, functional gages)
• Complete capability studies on critical, major and minor characteristics
• Program development in PPAP principles and practices
• Document & record data collected on inspection forms legibly
• Keep work area safe and clean (5S – Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
• Promote quality workmanship that meets and/or exceeds customer expectations
• Assist with Housekeeping in NCM area
• Support Operations with NCMR process, inspect parts
• Assist NCM area with material handling, inventory, non-standard jobs etc.
• Perform other duties as directed by Manager

• 1-2 years’ experience working in a similar position is preferred

• Quality plans and controls knowledge
• Gauging knowledge needed
• CMM Operating needed
• CMM programming knowledge preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail Oriented
• Must have the ability to lift, push, pull 25 pounds
• Must have the ability to stand, sit and walk at least 75% of the time.
