3rd shiftMonday - Thursday, 9:00pm - 7:00am
This position ensures operation of machinery, forklifts and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production equipment. Must be able to follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturers' instructions and possess the ability to troubleshoot. Maintain a safe and clean environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. A steady hand, natural motivation, positive attitude/aptitude and outstanding attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and maintain engines, mechanical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic equipment.
- Safely operate various maintenance equipment such as drills, material handling equipment, and overhead cranes.
- Source replacement parts and perform repairs.
- Perform daily housekeeping, maintain parts and tool inventory.
- Coordinate with supervisors and leadmen to prioritize preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Prepare and maintain maintenance logs.
- Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing gloves, protective eyewear, and safety shoes.
- Perform all other duties assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Familiarity with diesel engines a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in the mechanical maintenance field is preferred.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and hydraulics.
- Must be able to read gauges, micrometers, calipers, tape measure, and other measurement tools.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Capability of understanding technical plans and drawings.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Maintain accurate work and good levels of concentration.
- Ability to work in a team environment and/or on an individual basis.
- Flexible and capable of successfully performing in a fast-paced environment.
