Responsibilities
- Program, operate, and calibrate precision CMM equipment while troubleshooting software and tool issues to ensure accurate performance
- Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and CAD models to inspect first articles, in process parts, and final products
- Perform dimensional checks utilizing CMM, calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify conformance to engineering specifications
- Document, analyze, and maintain accurate records of inspection results, non conformances, and quality reports for future reference
- Generate detailed data reports and communicate results to Quality and Production teams to recommend corrective actions
- Lead root cause analysis and participate in process enhancements to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence
- Partner with engineering and production teams to drive manufacturing improvements and assist with quality initiatives
- Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and IATF 16949 standards while supporting internal and external quality audits
- 2+ years of experience as a CMM Technician or Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with CMM programming and operation utilizing PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar industrial software
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and interpretation of engineering drawings
- Hands on experience with precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
- Proficient in CMM programming and operation, with a deep understanding of inspection processes and measurement techniques
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify root causes of quality issues
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and precision in measurement and reporting
- Certification in quality inspection or metrology
- Experience with 3D scanning, laser trackers, or other advanced measurement technologies
- Associates degree or certification in a related technical field
- Familiarity with international quality standards such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949
- Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Office and CAD programs
