Assists the paint department by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Must be able to multitask and have good organizational skills
- Safely operates industrial forklift truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products in the Paint Department.
- Take directions from Lead/Supervisor as to which jobs/pallets should be brought to the line
- Inspect parts per ISO standards and inspection paperwork requirements.
- Work closely with lead and paint line supervisor regarding daily production requirements.
- Must be flexible to pivot with changes in production requirements.
- Complete daily forklift inspection reports.
- Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required.
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.
- Follow instructions, procedures for operating equipment and keeping records.
- Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with members of the paint team and other departments.
- Attaches identifying tags and labels to materials or marks information on cases.
- Assists the Batch Lead or Leads person with any other duties as required.
- Helps load and unload parts in a safe manner on racks or Batch conveyor
- Wears all proper PPE while working in batch
- Assembles and packs parts per job traveler
- Trains new personnel to work in a safe manner and to follow all instructions for processing parts that are on the job traveler.

Education And/Or ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED; one to three months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language SkillsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos, as well as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other employees of the organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
