1st Shift Material Handler

MATERIAL HANDLER - 1ST SHIFT

The material handler will report to the Distribution Center manager in Fall River. This position covers multiple aspects of the distribution center, including shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and cycle count. If you enjoy variety, this role is for you.

• Loads, unloads, and moves materials within the distribution center.
• Loads and unloads materials from racking, floor, trucks, etc.
• Conveys materials to/from storage to designated area using forklift, hand truck, stand‑up picker.
• Operates industrial truck and stand‑up picker to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
• Fills out a daily inspection before operating forklift.
• Assists with routine or general housekeeping tasks per the plant’s 6S plan.
• Ensures compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Able to perform basic math skills.
• Problem‑solving skills required; self‑sufficient.
• Works within a team environment to accomplish a goal.
• Detail orientation, self‑motivation skills, and ability to multi‑task.
• Communicates effectively in verbal and written formats.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• At least 2 years forklift experience, ideally in a warehouse setting.
• Experience in a fast‑pace environment.
• Experience moving objects of various sizes, from small to large.
