Material Handler
Location: Ladysmith
You will perform physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Lift heavy items and may operate a forklift or order picker. Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped. Post weights and shipping charges and prepare goods for final shipment.
You will examine stocks and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines and prepare kitting packages for assembly production. You will report to the Production Supervisor and work onsite in Ladysmith, WI. This is a 2nd Shift role Mon
- Fri 3PM-11PM, in the molding department. The role may require mandatory overtime at certain times to support operational demands.
- Use tools and equipment including hammers, cutters for wood, cardboard and plastics, forklifts and other motorized equipment.
- Use Powered industrial vehicles, scanning devices and other material handling equipment.
- Use documented work instructions and manufacturing execution systems for receiving, picking, and delivering parts.
- Perform moderately difficult assignments and processes.
- Work independently and operate multiple Powered Industrial Vehicles to load, unload, and transfer materials or finished products.
- Assemble product and deliver materials to production areas.
- Pick up waste and delivers finished product on a scheduled route.
- Assist with changeovers, provides tools and materials, and supports standard work to maintain production flow.
- Places reorder requests for floor stock and bulk materials.
- Review documentation and uses SAP/external systems to assess, replenish, and prioritize materials and finished goods for production and shipping.
- Provide documentation support, materials administration, and general process support.
- Overtime is an essential function of the role, typically requiring 8 hours per week, with actual hours varying.
- You Will Have:
- A minimum of High School Diploma/GED OR 2 years of verified related experience.
