Job Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate safety as a core value by following all plant safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Assist the Operator with machine setup, adjustments, operation, and changeovers.
  • Help stage materials and maintain continuous machine operation to minimize downtime.
  • Support quality inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications for print, scoring, slotting, dimensions, and bundle counts.
  • Remove defective product and notify the Operator or Supervisor of quality concerns immediately.
  • Assist with monitoring machine performance and help maintain production efficiency.
  • Help enter production numbers, downtime, and waste accurately into KIWI or other production systems as required.
  • Assist with loading, stacking, labeling, unitizing, and moving finished product.
  • Support machine cleaning, lubrication, and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in compliance with housekeeping and safety standards.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures and assist safely with clearing jams or minor machine issues.
  • Work closely with Operators, Supervisors, and team members to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
  • Cross‑train on additional converting equipment and assist in other production departments as needed.
  • Participate in required OSHA and company safety training.

    Must follow detailed instructions for training and quality.
Physical Requirements
  • Required regularly to stand for long periods of time, and squat while lifting occasionally.
  • Required to squat while lifting and flip sheets to restack units (up to 30lbs for a period up to 12 hours)
  • Required to move safely while claiming steps
  • Required to bend over and lift sheets from the bridge and from the platform
  • Requires good vision (for operating PITs, using traffic mirrors and stop signs).
  • Required continuous mental and visual attention (to keep product moving in the supply chain while maintaining accurate inventory transactions involving diversified work requiring constant alertness or activity).
Required Experience
  • A strong desire to learn and excel in fast‑paced manufacturing
  • Preferred candidates will have prior work experience in the corrugated industry
  • Punctuality and a commitment to regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others
  • Dedication to always wearing safety gear
  • Availability for overtime as needed
Skills Reading and Communication
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical
  • Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
  • Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurements, volume, and rate.
  • Able to apply concepts of high school math.
Technical
  • Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities for efficient operation.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, DEQ, EEO, and company policies.
