Position: Cabinet Maker I - Multiple Shifts

Cabinet Maker I
- Multiple Shifts in GAC Appleton

Under direct supervision, learns and performs basic skills and functions related to the fabrication of aircraft cabinets and other wood‑surfaced subassemblies using design and engineering drawings.

Shift Schedule

2nd

Shift: Mon
- Thur, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM (4 x 10)
Weekend

Shift: Fri
- Sun, 06:00 AM - 06:30 PM (3 x 12)

Responsibilities

Learn entry‑level technical skills, regulatory requirements and tooling used in aircraft cabinetmaking; develop technical competency and problem‑solving abilities to allow progression to the technician level.

Use standard safety and operating procedures, design/engineering drawings, tools and other materials (laminates, veneers, cap strips) to develop proficiency in the preparation and making of furniture.

Utilize the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and sign off completed work.

Comply with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, use personal protective equipment and protect the aircraft interior; assist in the development and implementation of related initiatives.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Woodworking, wood‑finishing, auto‑body & painting experience in a technical environment or completion of a Technical Certificate in cabinet making preferred.
Experience in carpentry/cabinetry, auto restoration, or manufacturing/production fields related to the required job tasks.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds and work any shift.
Computer literate.
