• Plant operators are cross‑trained in all facets of operations and quality testing and are expected to become proficient in mobile equipment operation, wet/dry operation, screening, blending and product testing. Post‑training operators are expected to use equipment in a safe manner. Basic mechanical skills are required for basic plant maintenance.
• Management oversees all operations performed at the A.F. Gelhar Co., Inc. and directs sales activities including prospecting, price quotes and customer service.
• Electricians familiar with all production related process equipment (screeners, dryers, elevators, conveyors, pumps, motors) including control and monitoring systems. Trained electricians provide troubleshooting support to plant operators and are the key contact for all electrical subject matter. Electricians also act as mechanics as it relates to the execution of the position responsibilities.
• Maintenance technicians report to the maintenance manager and are familiar with all production related process equipment (screeners, dryers, elevators, conveyors, pumps, motors) and control and monitoring systems. Maintenance technicians provide troubleshooting support to plant operators and are the key contact for all mechanical related subject matter.
• Shift team leads are cross‑trained in all facets of operations; safety, quality and are proficient in ISO, safety, and all aspects of operations. Shift team leads operate equipment in a safe manner.
• Operators are cross‑trained in all facets of mobile equipment operations and are expected to operate equipment in a safe manner. Mechanical skills are required for basic plant and mobile equipment maintenance.
