The Production Control Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing production control activities to ensure efficient manufacturing operations and on‑time delivery. This role works closely with cross‑functional teams to balance production schedules, inventory, capacity, and customer demand while driving continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement production control strategies that improve efficiency, productivity, and manufacturing performance
- Coordinate with operations, supply chain, and other departments to ensure smooth production flow and on‑time delivery
- Manage and adjust production schedules based on customer demand, capacity and material availability
- Analyze production data, monitor key performance metrics, and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Oversee inventory planning and control to support production needs while minimizing excess inventory
- Lead, coach, and develop production control team members while promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Experience leading production control, manufacturing operations, or supply chain functions within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and capacity planning
- Proficiency with ERP systems, production planning software, and data analysis tools
- Working knowledge of quality systems, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Primarily office‑based with regular interaction in manufacturing environments
- Frequent collaboration with operations, supply chain, quality, and leadership teams
